Welcome to The 1st Colorado Top Hands
A patriotic and entertaining equestrian drill team that performs
throughout the state of Colorado
The 1st Colorado Top Hands was started in 2019. The team is a co-ed, all-age drill team. Riders come from all backgrounds including competitive barrel racing, western pleasure, and ranch versatility. The team rides their drill with American flags to honor those who have served in the military or as first responders including many members of the team.
The Top Hands take pride in the presentation of colors for our country, our military and our first responders during grand entry of rodeos as well as parades.
Our team takes pride in engaging with the community at various events such as rodeos, parades, and community gatherings. We love to interact with folks by signing autograph sheets for the youth, answering questions, and presenting the colors on horseback. We also introduce our horses to the crowd when appropriate, making sure everyone has a memorable experience.
The Top Hand team members who specialize in trick riding devote additional time to improving their skills. They prioritize the safety of both the horse and the rider mastering their impressive stunts that entertain the audience.
